This unique feature, inspired by a fellow bicycle commuter friend, utilizes the GPS on the iPhone 3G/3GS/4 to determine you current moving speed. This speed is used instead of wind speed to calculate the wind chill based on the selected air temperature.
This feature is designed for anyone who travels at any sort of speed in or on an open vehicle, such as a bicycle, motorcycle, boat, snowmobile, etc.
While this feature can be used on iOS devices without a built in GPS, readings will be inaccurate. Ambient wind speed is not factored into the results.
